We are Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice (GBCH). We’re a local charity committed to providing high-quality palliative care and support to all of our local people who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness, as well as their families and their professional carers too.
For over 25 years, we have been proud to lead the way in providing specialist palliative and end of life care, support and education in Greenwich and Bexley. In that time, we have worked hard to make sure that wherever they are, when we are needed, people can access our services in their home, the QE Hospital (Woolwich), our inpatient unit and outpatient services in Abbey Wood, and in the care homes and prisons in our community.
Our priority is to support everyone in our care to live as independently as they can, for as long as possible. We do this by providing physical, emotional, social, spiritual and psychological care and support. For our patients who are nearing the end of their life, we support them to have a positive and dignified end of life experience. Our support extends to loved ones and professional carers too and we offer bereavement services to those who would need it.
We rely on the generosity of our supporters to raise the vital funds needed every year to continue to deliver our work. There are many ways to support us; through our charity shops, fundraising and donations. You can find out more about us or how you can help us to make a difference on our main website.
